PERFIL.md

PERFIL.md (Spanish for “profile”) tells Tria who owns the archive: you, your company or your household. With it, Tria tells the invoices you issue from the ones you receive, and recognizes your partners, clients, banks, vehicles and homes.

The profile isn’t a rule: it doesn’t decide anything on its own, it just informs the AI. It’s sent with every document, along with TRIA.md.

What it looks like

It lives at the root of the space, next to TRIA.md. Like that file, it has a header with the data, with the keys in English, and free-form notes below.

Everything is optional except kind. A key Tria doesn’t know, or one that doesn’t belong to the kind, gets a warning, but it’s saved and sent anyway: the AI reads it.

The minimum

With the name and the tax ID, or with one member for Home, Tria knows who the owner is. Until then, it reminds you: in the app, with the “Tria doesn’t know who you are yet” card in the inbox; in the CLI, with a warning in tria status and in tria rules check.

Tria checks the check letter or digit of Spanish DNI, NIE and CIF numbers. If it doesn’t match, it warns you, but still lets you save.

Filling it in

  • In the app: when you create the space, in “Who You Are”. Later, in Rules (⌘4) › Who You Are › “Edit”, or from the space menu. Anything beyond the minimum is collapsed.
  • In the CLI: tria init --template creates it and asks you for the name and the tax ID, or a household member. You fill in the rest in your editor, and tria rules check validates it.

When you save a different profile, anything already read in the inbox gets read again. If someone changed it elsewhere while you were editing it in the app, Tria asks whether you want to “Reload” or “Save Anyway”.

If PERFIL.md can’t be read, because the header is broken or the kind doesn’t exist, the space stops with the error and the line number until you fix it.

What isn’t sent

Your partners’ or household members’ tax IDs are only sent if you write them in. For accounts, Tria only wants the last digits.
